an experienced
NACE/AMPP
Level 1 Coatings Supervisor for an upcoming industrial project. We are looking for someone with a strong industrial painting and coatings background who can provide on-site supervision, monitor coating activities, maintain quality standards, and help keep the crew working safely and efficiently. This position requires a current
NACE/AMPP
Level 1 certification along with practical industrial coatings experience. Responsibilities Provide day-to-day supervision of industrial painters, blasters, and coating crews Monitor surface preparation and coating application activities Help ensure work is performed according to project specifications and coating requirements Perform basic coating inspections within the scope of Level 1 training and certification Monitor environmental conditions such as temperature, humidity, dew point, and surface temperature Assist with wet and dry film thickness measurements Perform visual inspections of prepared and coated surfaces Identify obvious coating defects or workmanship concerns and report findings appropriately Maintain required field documentation and inspection records Read and follow coating product data sheets and project specifications Coordinate with project supervision, safety personnel, inspectors, and crew members Ensure employees follow site-specific and company safety requirements Help maintain crew productivity, organization, and quality throughout the project Requirements Current
NACE/AMPP
Level 1 certification
REQUIRED
Previous industrial painting, blasting, or coatings experience required Previous supervisory, foreman, or crew-lead experience preferred Working knowledge of industrial surface preparation and coating application Familiarity with common coating inspection tools and testing equipment Ability to understand coating specifications and product data sheets Strong communication and leadership skills Must be dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working in an active industrial environment Must be able to meet applicable drug screening, background, and site-access requirements Preferred Experience 3+ years of industrial coatings experience Experience supervising painters and/or blasters Experience working in plants, mills, shipyards, refineries, or other heavy industrial environments Experience documenting coating conditions and inspection results Compensation Pay depends on industrial coatings experience, supervisory experience, and overall qualifications. Additional consideration may be given to candidates with extensive industrial experience or certifications beyond
