Overview NaphCare has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Payroll Specialist to join NaphCare's Talent Acquisition team at our Corporate Headquarters in Birmingham, AL The Senior Payroll Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely processing and distribution of payroll for their assigned departments/sites. Under the direct supervision of the Payroll Manager, this position must ensure accurate calculation of wages, tax withholdings, and company deductions in accordance with government regulations and company policies. Responsibilities Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential Calculate, issue, and record adjustments to pay related to retroactive changes Audit new hire paperwork such as tax withholding forms and direct deposit to ensure accuracy Scan and file payroll documents such as wage garnishments, tax withholding forms, and direct deposits Processing and maintenance of all staff changes for payroll needs (hires, terminations, class changes, pay changes, transfers, etc.) Respond to and resolve any inquiries regarding paychecks Utilize ADP Reporting to provide data quickly and accurately from the payroll system Act as a backup for coworkers Assist with special projects as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance from an accredited four-year college or university preferred Experience working with a large company, processing high volumes of payroll preferred 2+ years previous experience processing payroll, preferably with ADP Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now (WFN) and Workforce Manager (WFMgr) preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products including; Word, Excel, and Outlook Strong knowledge of payroll best practices Exceptional organizational skills Ability to work in a team-oriented environment Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills Why Join NaphCare?
