Peoria,AZ Payroll Specialist :
ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing. Supports the payroll department by reviewing and updating attendance records, processing bi-weekly payrolls, and preparing payroll cost reports. Manages payroll-related inquiries, oversees incentives, and audit labor-related invoices, ensuring compliance with deadlines and accuracy in reporting.Key Responsibilities:
- Review and update daily attendance records.
- Process bi-weekly payroll before the Paychex deadline on Mondays by 2:30 PM PST.
- Review and ensure the accuracy of quarterly returns.
- Prepare weekly payroll cost reports for Admin-Accounting to meet weekly and monthly reporting deadlines.
- Provide customer service by addressing payroll inquiries and requests from employees.
- Oversee and manage employee incentives.
- Review, research, and approve payroll action requests (PAR) for agency employees.
- Audit weekly agency and labor-related invoices for accuracy.
- Assist with other payroll-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience in payroll processing or a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with payroll software such as Paychex.
- Ability to review and ensure accuracy in payroll records, quarterly returns, and invoices.
- Strong ability to manage tasks, meet strict deadlines, and prepare reports.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to interact effectively with all levels of management and employees.
- Capable of researching and resolving payroll discrepancies and processing payroll action requests.
- Familiarity with distribution center operations or a similar work environment.
