Full Benefits PTO/Sick Leave Wellness Benefits Wickenburg Community Hospital is a non-profit organization and qualifies for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program. General Description Responsible for all payroll-related processing activities. Also performs routine accounting practices. Essential Job Duties Ensures that mandatory and voluntary withholdings and deductions are accurately calculated and reported. Works closely with WCH leaders to complete pay cycle processes and approvals prior to payroll processing. Transmits payroll files for processing; verifies accuracy. Works with HR to process unique payroll items such as special bonuses. Assists employees or managers with questions about payroll policies and pay discrepancies. Refers to HR as needed. Maintains all payroll-related files and records. Assists in the preparation of year end W-2 and/or other tax filings or reports. Maintains and processes organization's 403B program. Processes all Health Savings Accounts (H.S.A.s) Processes refund requests Partners with HR on all retroactive or adjusted compensation issues Handles employee expense reimbursements Submits all other employee deductions (gift shop, garnishments, donations, medical bills) Maintains utmost confidentiality of all employee and 1099 data within the Human Resource Information System HRIS). Processes all 1099 contractor payments Performs routine accounting practices: Process daily bank Process miscellaneous A/P requests Maintain and manage all rent receivables for Visiting Physicians Completes general ledger and payroll reconciliations for month-end close. Other Duties Works closely with the Human Resources staff. Coordinates and prepares audit schedules and supporting documentation for annual hospital and 403(b) audits. Is a key member of the Finance department and Revenue Cycle division. Shares knowledge and mentors other Finance staff designated to be position back-up. Assists with Accounts Payable Works closely with current HRIS and other third-party vendors. Special Projects assigned by Accounting Manager or CFO Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Two years' experience in a payroll administrator role. Basic knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles to include setup and/or data entry into the accounting system. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work under minimal supervision. Preferred Qualifications Associates degree in Business, Accounting, or related field. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) More than two years' experience as a payroll administrator or analyst. Previous experience in the healthcare industry. Physical Requirements/Working Conditions Sitting for extended periods of time. Ability to frequently walk up and down one flight of stairs. Must be able to lift packages up to 20 pounds Must be able to work paying close attention to detail with frequent interruptions Ability to work in a fast pace environmentBenefits
