In this vital role, you will oversee the accurate processing of payroll, ensure compliance with all relevant labor and tax laws, and maintain the integrity of payroll data across multiple systems. Your expertise will help streamline payroll operations, support HR initiatives, and uphold confidentiality standards. Responsibilities Manage end-to-end payroll processing using systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, UltiPro, Kronos, Ceridian, and other supported payroll platforms. Ensure compliance with employment and labor laws by staying current on legal updates and implementing necessary changes in payroll procedures. Reconcile payroll data with general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries for financial reporting purposes. Maintain accurate employee records within HRIS systems and update payroll information regularly. Process payroll taxes, including withholding, reporting, and remittance in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. Collaborate with accounting teams to handle accounts payable/receivable related to payroll expenses and vendor payments. Analyze payroll reports for discrepancies or errors; perform audits to ensure data accuracy and integrity. Handle confidential information with discretion while managing data entry, account reconciliation, and payroll system administration. Requirements Proven experience working with payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, Kronos, UltiPro, or Ceridian. Strong knowledge of employment law, tax law, labor law compliance, and financial concepts related to payroll management. Proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel), accounting software (QuickBooks or similar), and general ledger accounting. Familiarity with time & attendance systems and HRIS platforms is essential for seamless integration of payroll data. Demonstrated ability to perform detailed analysis skills including account reconciliation and journal entries. Excellent organizational skills with a focus on accuracy in data entry and bookkeeping tasks such as debits & credits. Ability to handle confidential information responsibly while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
