Payroll Specialist Role:
The Payroll Specialist will play an important role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while supporting employees and maintaining compliance with payroll regulations.
Responsibilities include:
Process payroll for employees on a scheduled basis, including weekly, bi-weekly, and/or monthly payroll cycles Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, deductions, benefits, and taxes Maintain and update payroll records, including employee information, tax forms, and direct deposit details Review and verify timekeeping records and resolve discrepancies Respond to employee payroll-related questions and provide timely support Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations Prepare payroll reports for management, finance, and auditing purposes Partner closely with HR and finance to ensure smooth and accurate payroll operations Process and file payroll tax reports, W-2s, and other required payroll documentation Manage garnishments, deductions, benefit contributions, and other payroll adjustments Assist with payroll audits and reporting requirements Stay current on payroll regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of payroll processing experience required Strong knowledge of payroll taxes, deductions, garnishments, and compliance requirements Experience working with payroll systems and timekeeping platforms #LI-LM1 #
