Job Description

About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and trustworthy Payroll Specialist to join our team. In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring our employees are paid accurately and on time, while maintaining payroll records and supporting payroll-related processes. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, staying organized, and supporting employees with payroll questions. What You'll Do Collect, review, and process timekeeping information and payroll data Calculate wages, overtime, and deductions using payroll software Update payroll records for salary changes, benefits, deductions, and job transfers Process payroll on established deadlines and ensure accurate payment distribution Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee pay inquiries Prepare payroll reports including earnings, hours worked, and tax documentation Process and issue annual W-2 forms Calculate and submit payroll taxes and prepare federal, state, and tax reports Maintain accurate and confidential payroll records Assist with special payroll projects and other duties as assigned by the Payroll Supervisor What We're Looking For Strong understanding of payroll processes, accounting fundamentals, and best practices Knowledge of payroll-related legislation and regulations Proficiency in Microsoft Office and payroll software/databases High level of integrity and commitment to confidentiality Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Strong communication and problem-solving skills
