Responsibilities Process payroll accurately using systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, UltiPro, or Kronos, ensuring all employee data is current and correct Reconcile payroll accounts through general ledger accounting practices, including journal entries, debits & credits, and account reconciliation Maintain detailed records of payroll transactions, benefits administration, and tax filings to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations Manage data entry tasks related to employee hours, wages, deductions, and benefits within various payroll software platforms Collaborate with HR and finance teams to coordinate benefits administration and resolve payroll discrepancies promptly Prepare reports on payroll expenses, tax liabilities, and other financial data for internal review and external audits Support accounts payable and receivable processes related to payroll disbursements and vendor payments Experience Proven experience working with payroll management systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, Kronos or UltiPro Strong understanding of accounting principles including double entry bookkeeping, general ledger reconciliation, and financial concepts Familiarity with accounting software like QuickBooks or other financial software tools used in corporate or non-profit settings Knowledge of tax regulations related to payroll processing and benefits administration Demonstrated ability in data entry accuracy with proficiency in 10 key typing skills Experience handling accounts payable/receivable processes within a governmental or corporate environment Excellent analysis skills for reviewing financial data and resolving discrepancies efficiently Background in human resources functions such as benefits administration or HRIS systems like Ceridian or PeopleSoft is a plus Join us as a Payroll Specialist to bring your expertise into a role that values precision, efficiency, and collaboration.
