$35 - $42 per hour Job Details - We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team in the Mortgage industry. This role will offer the opportunity to utilize your expertise in payroll and human resource information systems (HRIS) to drive our business forward. You will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our payroll processes while also providing valuable consulting services to our clients. Responsibilities:
As a Payroll Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include: 1. Managing the complete payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions. 2. Utilizing HRIS to maintain payroll records and documentation accurately. 3. Providing expert service to our employees. 4. Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices. 5. Coordinating with the HR team to integrate payroll data with other HR functions such as benefits and compensation. 6. Identifying, investigating, and resolving discrepancies in payroll records. 7. Collaborating with IT staff to install, troubleshoot, and upgrade payroll software systems. 8. Assisting in the development and implementation of payroll procedures and policies. 9. Conducting regular audits on payroll procedures and records. 10. Preparing reports for management, finance department, and others as needed.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Payroll Specialist position will have the following qualifications: 1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll processing and administration. 2. Proficiency in HRIS and payroll software systems. 3. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws. 4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. 5. Strong consulting and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate complex payroll concepts to clients clearly and effectively. 6. Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 7.
