JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE:
Payroll Specialist

Accounting and Finance SUMMARY:
The payroll specialist is responsible for maintaining and supporting the payroll processes.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collects timesheet data and payroll information.
  • Calculates salaries, wages, bonuses, and other compensation.
  • Manage all deductions.
  • Prepare and issue paychecks.
  • Enters data into ADP.
  • Calculates wages, benefits, tax deductions, commissions, etc.
  • Prepares and processes paychecks and cash deposits.
  • Maintains accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions.
  • Prepares and distributes income statements.
  • Responds to payroll-related inquiries and resolving concerns.
  • Performs account balance and payroll reconciliations.
  • Prepares financial reports for accounting and auditing purposes.
  • Prepares periodic payroll reports for review by management.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Collaborate with Human Resources (HR) and accounting teams. Stay up-to-date with labor law regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, Business, or related field preferred
  • 3 + yeas of multi-state payroll processing experience.
  • 3+ yeas of ADP WFN experience required.
  • Strong knowledge in current labor laws.
  • MS Office Suite proficiency: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and payroll practices.
  • Experience working with accounting and payroll software.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • High numerical aptitude.
  • Detail-oriented

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time.

  • Ability to climb stairs multiple times a day and be able to lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to sit, rise, kneel, squat, twist, pull, bend multiple times a day.
  • Ability to perform with repetitive maneuvers and manual dexterity.

$65,000.00
