This role is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401k benefits Position Summary The Payroll Specialist is responsible for supporting daily payroll operations and processing payroll accurately and on time while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. This role requires strong attention to detail, organization, confidentiality, and communication skills. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to work independently, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Duties & Responsibilities Process payroll accurately and timely in compliance with state and federal laws. Review and resolve timecard exceptions including missing punches, incorrect entries, and adjustment discrepancies. Respond to employee payroll inquiries related to pay calculations, timecards, overtime, garnishments, and pay codes. Process payroll-related forms and employee changes, including Personnel Action Request Forms. Enter and maintain new hire information in ADP Workforce Now. Prepare and analyze meal break violation reports and apply meal penalties when appropriate. Coordinate with department leadership and supervisors to resolve timekeeping anomalies prior to payroll processing. Assist with regular team member assignment audits to ensure accurate client allocations. Maintain payroll operations in accordance with company policies and procedures. Ensure confidentiality of payroll and employee information, including HIPAA-protected information. Support additional payroll, finance, and administrative projects as assigned by leadership. Qualifications Associate degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience required. Minimum of 1 year of payroll processing experience required. Experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred. Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general PC applications. Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality. Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
