Description Payroll Specialist Are you a detail-oriented payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment? Robert Half is seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our client's team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining compliance with payroll regulations, and supporting employees with payroll-related inquiries. Requirements

+ Process weekly, biweekly, semi-monthly, or monthly payroll for employees accurately and on schedule.

+ Review and validate payroll data, including timecards, earnings, deductions, taxes, and benefit elections.

+ Maintain employee payroll records and ensure data accuracy within payroll systems.

+ Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and company policies.

+ Research, reconcile, and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries in a timely manner.

+ Prepare payroll reports and assist with audits, tax filings, and year-end processes, including W-2 reporting.

+ Collaborate with Human Resources, Accounting, and management teams to support payroll-related initiatives.

+ Assist with payroll system updates, process improvements, and documentation of payroll procedures. + 3+ years of payroll processing experience preferred.

+ Strong knowledge of payroll practices, wage and hour regulations, payroll taxes, and compliance requirements.

+ Experience using payroll software such as ADP, Paychex, Workday, UKG, Paylocity, or similar platforms.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reconciliation.

+ Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.

+ Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve payroll issues efficiently.

+ Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred but not required.

+ Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
