Duties Process payroll accurately using systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, UltiPro, Kronos, or Ceridian, ensuring timely payments Maintain and update employee records within HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems) and payroll software Reconcile payroll accounts through detailed analysis of spreadsheets, general ledger entries, and account statements Ensure compliance with employment and labor laws, including tax regulations and governmental reporting requirements Handle payroll tax calculations, filings, and related documentation with meticulous attention to detail Support audit processes by preparing reports on payroll data, account reconciliations, and journal entries Collaborate with HR and finance teams to resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries confidentially Requirements Proven experience in payroll management within a corporate accounting or finance setting Strong proficiency with payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, Gusto, Paychex, Kronos, UltiPro, or Ceridian; familiarity with other HRIS platforms is a plus Solid understanding of employment law, labor law compliance, and payroll tax regulations at local, state, and federal levels Expertise in accounting principles including double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, general ledger reconciliation, debits & credits Advanced skills in spreadsheets and financial software for data entry, analysis, and reporting purposes Experience handling confidential information with integrity and professionalism Knowledge of governmental accounting standards related to payroll processing and reporting is desirable Join us as a Payroll Specialist to play a crucial role in delivering accurate compensation while supporting our company's commitment to compliance and operational excellence.
