Job Description

O2 Employment Services is looking to find their next Payroll Specialist. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity located in Redding, CA. The ideal candidate will have previous payroll experience, including certified payroll and prevailing wage. Payroll Specialist Compensation & Benefits $30.00-$40.00 per hour, depending on experience Full-time, long-term opportunity Medical, Dental, Vision & Term Life Insurance Payroll Specialist Qualifications Certified payroll and prevailing wage experience

Light accounting experience is a plus Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Strong general math skills Excellent attention to detail Ability to follow directions and take detailed notes Strong communication and customer service skills Self-motivated and dependable Team player who can work in a fast-paced environment Payroll Specialist Responsibilities Calculate employee pay and deductions Collect, calculate, and enter payroll data Maintain and update payroll records Process certified payroll and prevailing wage requirements Prepare reports for earnings, taxes, deductions, and other payroll information Research and resolve payroll discrepancies Follow applicable payroll laws and regulations Maintain payroll operations according to established policies and procedures Perform other duties as assigned Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
