Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join a construction-focused organization in San Diego, California. This onsite position supports accurate and compliant payroll operations for a large employee population and is ideal for someone who thrives in a deadline-driven environment. Responsibilities:
- Process end-to-end payroll for a high-volume workforce with a strong focus on accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
- Administer payroll across multiple states, ensuring proper application of wage laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Prepare and submit certified payroll reports in accordance with project and contractual requirements.
- Manage prevailing wage payroll calculations and verify that employee pay aligns with applicable labor standards.
- Use ADP Workforce Now to maintain payroll records, review transactions, and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
- Audit payroll data, deductions, earnings, and tax withholdings to identify issues and support accurate payroll close.
- Partner with accounting and internal stakeholders to reconcile payroll information and support construction-related payroll reporting.
- Help transition payroll activity into the onsite office environment by coordinating processes and maintaining continuity of service.
