Monday-Friday- onsite About the Opportunity Our client is seeking a Union Payroll Specialist to join their accounting team. This is a hands-on role responsible for weekly payroll processing, union reporting, certified payroll, and accounts payable. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and experience working in a union and/or construction environment. What You'll Do Payroll & Union Reporting Process weekly payroll accurately and efficiently, including wages, overtime, deductions, and benefits. Review and verify employee timesheets and resolve payroll discrepancies. Maintain accurate employee payroll records. Prepare and submit union reports in accordance with collective bargaining agreements. Reconcile union-related payroll and financial information. Communicate with union representatives as needed. Prepare and maintain certified payroll documentation and submissions. Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local payroll regulations. Additional Responsibilities Respond to employee and vendor questions related to payroll and payments. Maintain organized payroll, union, and AP documentation. Assist with audits by providing supporting documentation and reports. Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure accurate and efficient processes. Assist with additional accounting and administrative projects as needed. What We're Looking For 5+ years of experience in payroll, accounts payable, accounting, or a related function. Hands-on experience processing payroll, preferably in a weekly payroll environment. Previous union payroll and reporting experience strongly preferred. Experience with certified payroll is highly desirable. Familiarity with collective bargaining agreements and union requirements. Strong understanding of payroll taxes, labor laws, and basic accounting principles. Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Preferred Experience Construction or contractor industry experience Familiarity with certified payroll portals Experience working with automated AP and payroll workflows Why This Opportunity?
