In this vital role, you will oversee the accurate processing of payroll, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Your expertise will help maintain the integrity of our payroll systems and support our commitment to providing timely and precise compensation to our employees. Responsibilities Manage end-to-end payroll processing using systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, UltiPro, Kronos, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, and other payroll platforms. Ensure compliance with employment and labor laws, tax regulations, and governmental accounting standards related to payroll. Reconcile payroll data through account reconciliation techniques, double entry bookkeeping, and general ledger reconciliation to guarantee accuracy. Handle payroll tax calculations, filings, and reporting in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. Maintain detailed records of payroll transactions, employee time & attendance data from time & attendance systems, and HRIS platforms. Support payroll system upgrades or troubleshooting efforts by providing technical support and data entry expertise. Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure proper classification of employees and adherence to labor law compliance. Skills Extensive experience with payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, Kronos, UltiPro, PeopleSoft, Ceridian or similar platforms. Strong knowledge of employment & labor law, payroll tax law, and governmental accounting standards. Proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel), accounting software (QuickBooks), and financial analysis tools for data analysis and report generation. Familiarity with HRIS systems and time & attendance management platforms for accurate data collection. Ability to perform account reconciliation, journal entries, double entry bookkeeping, and technical accounting tasks with precision. Excellent attention to detail in handling confidential information while ensuring compliance with all legal requirements. Strong analysis skills for identifying discrepancies or errors in payroll data and resolving issues promptly.
