If so, then you've come to the right place! We are one of the leading Commercial Painting companies in the Bay Area and have doubled in size over the last 5 years. We offer a strong benefits and time off package. We are seeking an experienced, reliable Payroll Specialist who enjoys crunching numbers and attention to detail to join our growing company. In this role you will help process payroll for over 200 California employees and support the Human Resources Department as needed. You will work collaboratively and with a team of skilled professionals in a fast-paced, deadline- driven environment. You will be responsible for accurately processing and managing payroll for our employees, overseeing timekeeping software, and auditing time and wages to ensure compliance and accuracy. Responsibilities Gather information on hours worked for each employee Ensure payroll information is inputted into the system accurately and timely Process time cards, and review for accuracy Keep track of hour rates, wages, time off accruals and new hire information Address issues and questions regarding payroll from employees and their supervisors in a timely manager Accurately record and document all transactions Assist in payroll reporting Manage time card files Manage workflow as prescribed to maximize efficiency Communicate with HR teams to make necessary changes/updates to accounts Process Prevailing Wages and Certified Payroll reports You will also support the Human Resources Department with new hire orientations, filing, and other duties as needed. Weekly Handle end-to-end processing of employee payroll, including data entry, calculation of wages, deductions, overtime, bonuses, reimbursements, termination, and any other relevant adjustments. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, tax regulations, and industry-specific requirements related to construction payroll. Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records, including employee information, tax withholdings, benefits deductions, paid time off, and other relevant data. Oversee the timekeeping system for employees, ensuring accurate recording and tracking of work hours, absences, leaves, and any other time-related information. Communicate with employees to confirm hours, discuss deductions, tax withholding, and general payroll policies and procedures. Process Prevailing Wages and Certified Payroll reports. Monthly Stay updated on changing laws and regulations to ensure accurate payroll processing. Generate payroll reports, including employee earnings, tax withholdings, and labor cost analysis. Prepare regular payroll-related reports for management, HR, and accounting departments. Conduct regular audits of payroll records to ensure accuracy, identify discrepancies, and address any issues promptly. Collaborate with HR, finance, and other departments to ensure seamless integration of payroll data and accurate processing of new hires, terminations, promotions, and transfers. Yearly Continuously evaluate payroll processes and systems, recommending improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. Participate in the implementation and testing of new payroll software or upgrades. Collaborate with finance team to create year-end reporting for labor, taxes, and compliance. Requirements Must be Bilingual with fluency in both Spanish and English High School Diploma or GED equivalent /some College preferred Payroll experience preferred Construction Office Experience Preferred Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks Excellent communication skills including written and verbal Aptitude for numbers and exceptional commitment to accuracy Excellent computer skills, including experience using payroll management software. Assignar, Paycom and Foundation management software experience a plus Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook a must Trustworthy and attention to confidentiality Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks Desire to provide excellent support, follow-up and organizational skills Team player with excellent interpersonal skills The perfect candidate will be flexible, energetic, quick-thinking, and able to juggle multiple responsibilities with a strong emphasis on organization and time management while meeting demands / deadlines. This person should be comfortable with working with office professionals and with minimal supervision. You must have the willingness and ambition to learn and take on a variety of responsibilities. Pay:

$35.00 - $45.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 - 40.0 per week
