Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Compliance Administrator with construction certified ( Davis-Bacon Act) payroll expertise to join our dynamic Payroll/Benefits/HR team. In this role, you will oversee the accurate processing of payroll for construction projects assigned, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Your expertise in construction payroll certification (Davis-Bacon Act) will be essential in managing complex pay structures, union and non-union wages, fringe benefits, and certified payroll reporting. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment where precision and efficiency are paramount. You will collaborate closely with human resources, accounting, and project management teams to ensure seamless payroll operations that support our company's growth and compliance standards. Essential Job Duties Manage and process weekly and or bi-weekly payroll for construction projects using industry-standard software such as Paycor, Paychex, Viewpoint Vista and or Sage Intacct. Ensure all certified payroll reports are prepared accurately and submitted on time in accordance with State and or Federal government regulations Reconcile timesheets, job costs, and fringe benefit allocations while verifying data entry accuracy within payroll and accounting systems like Sage Intacct or Viewpoint Vista Maintain detailed records of employee hours, wage rates, union contributions, and benefit deductions Collaborate with HRIS systems to update employee information related to benefits administration and compliance requirements Perform account reconciliations related to payroll expenses in the general ledger using double entry bookkeeping principles Conduct analysis of payroll data to identify discrepancies or errors and resolve issues promptly and accurately Support accounts payable processes by verifying subcontractor certified payroll reports and payments and processing vendor invoices related to payroll costs Assist with governmental reporting requirements including EEO reports, tax filings, and audit documentation for construction projects Requirements Proven recent experience managing construction payroll with certification in (Davis-Bacon Act) construction-specific payroll practices. Proficiency in payroll management software such as Paycor, ADP, Sage 300, Sage Intacct or Viewpoint Vista (preferred) Previous work experience of accounting software including Sage 300, Sage Intacct and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems like Viewpoint Vista is preferred Familiarity with federal and state tax regulations related to construction payroll and certified reporting standards Confidentiality and Integrity must be character driven behavior Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy (10 key typing) and attention to detail Understanding of human resources processes including benefits administration and HRIS systems Knowledge of governmental accounting standards applicable to construction projects Ability to perform account reconciliation, journal entries, general ledger reconciliation, debits & credits effectively Strong analysis skills for troubleshooting payroll discrepancies and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws Effective communication skills to collaborate across departments including HR, accounting, project management and external agencies Come join the ACP Team in a role where your expertise ensures smooth payroll operations that keep our projects running efficiently!
