Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to support payroll operations for a hospitality organization in Ft. Myers, Florida. This Long-term Contract position is well suited for someone with hands-on payroll experience who can work accurately in a flexible-hour arrangement that may not always require a full 40-hour week. The ideal candidate will help ensure employees are paid correctly and on schedule while maintaining organized records and supporting day-to-day payroll administration.
Responsibilities:
Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner for employees in accordance with company procedures and pay schedules. Review payroll information for completeness, resolve discrepancies, and follow up on missing or incorrect data before final processing. Assist with full-cycle payroll activities, including data entry, updates to employee pay records, and verification of hours worked. Maintain organized payroll documentation and ensure records are kept current, accurate, and confidential. Use Excel, Jonas Club Software, and payroll platforms such as COAdvantage and related systems to manage payroll tasks and prepare supporting reports. Respond to payroll-related questions from employees and internal stakeholders with professionalism and attention to detail. Support ongoing payroll administration needs and contribute to process continuity as tools and workflows are learned or updated. At least 1 year of experience in payroll processing or payroll support. Working knowledge of full-cycle payroll and standard payroll procedures. Experience using Excel for payroll tracking, reconciliation, and reporting. Experince with Jonas Club Software is preferred Familiarity with payroll systems such as COAdvantage is preferred; the ability to learn new platforms quickly is important. Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. Good organizational skills and the ability to manage deadlines in a variable-hour work schedule. Clear communication skills and a dependable, team-oriented approach.
