Job Description
Worksite is a Professional Employer Organization (PEO) located in North Port, FL. We partner with other businesses to provide a one-stop solution for payroll and employee benefits administration, workers' compensation, safety, and HR consulting. We are seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our growing team. Our Payroll Specialists serve as the first point of contact for customer service and communicate with our clients on the phone and via email to process payroll data. They follow clearly defined processes and enter data in a timely fashion with great attention to detail. They proactively communicate with clients about any concerns and perform calculations to verify the accuracy of wage data. They actively assist in the problem resolution process and document their activities in our Client Relationship Management (CRM) software and save documents electronically to support our paperless processes. Required Education and Experience Minimum of a high school education or equivalent. Strong knowledge of payroll systems, tax regulations, and compliance requirements Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to handle sensitive client data with confidentiality and professionalism Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use simple math Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel) Preferred Experience 1-3 years payroll processing experience, preferably in a PEO or multi-client environment Associate's or bachelor's degree in business or accounting Prism software experience Fundamental Payroll Certification or must be willing to study and pursue testing within one year of employment (reimbursement provided) Benefits/Perks Competitive base wage Quarterly bonuses Company-paid employee Medical, Life Insurance, Short and Long-Term Disability coverage Generous Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays Multiple Voluntary Insurance plans 401k plan with 4% match (immediately vested) Weekly breakfast on Mondays and lunches on Wednesdays Monthly team building events Monthly chair massages Flexible schedules Casual and fun work environment
