Payroll Specialist (Contract)
Key ResponsibilitiesProcess weekly, biweekly, or semi-monthly payroll for employees accurately and timely.
Review and verify payroll data, including hours worked, deductions, taxes, and benefit elections.
Maintain employee payroll records and update changes related to compensation, taxes, and direct deposit information.
Reconcile payroll reports and assist with payroll-related general ledger entries.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing and audits.
Support HR and accounting teams with payroll reporting and special projects.
