Job Description:

• Process and analyze time, earnings, and deductions/withholdings on a weekly basis to derive accurate net pay in compliance with union contracts and Human Resource/unit policies
• Independently analyze and resolve complex payroll issues
• -•Communicate with employees of various levels regarding pay questions, processes, and training•Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with peers, unit partners, and other functional areas

• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong analytical skills and experience with complex data analysis
• Strong interpersonal communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to quickly learn multiple Payroll/IT software systems
• Ability to approach change with a positive mindset
• Ability to identify and implement process improvements
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Word
• Mature candidates who can handle confidential information

Desired Skills:

• Knowledge of payroll and payroll tax
• Experience maintaining confidential information
• Proficiency with SAP
• Experience using IBM/Host applications, such as TSO (Time Sharing Option) and RMDS (Report Management and Distribution System).

Education:

• Associate or bachelor's degree in a business or accounting discipline or equivalent experience

Shift Information:

• Here are the shift hours for this position-

Monday and Tuesday:

start time is 6:30 (this is when payroll is run as a team).

Wednesday-Friday:

Shift start time can be flexible

• This position will work onsite.
