POSITION SUMMARY

The Driver Payroll Associate supports the accurate and timely processing of payroll for company drivers. This position reviews driver pay information, works in ADP and TMW, and helps resolve payroll questions or discrepancies. The role works closely with Human Resources, Operations, Dispatch, Accounting, and drivers.

ESSENTIAL

DUTIES and

RESPONSIBILITIES

Process and review driver payroll within established payroll deadlines. Review driver pay information including trips, loads, mileage, stops, detention, layover, bonuses, reimbursements, and other applicable pay. Use TMW to review driver trip, load, mileage, dispatch, and pay information. Use ADP to review and process payroll information, employee records, deductions, and payments. Compare information between ADP, TMW, and supporting documents to help identify and correct payroll discrepancies. Research and respond to driver payroll questions in a timely and professional manner. Process payroll corrections, adjustments, deductions, reimbursements, and final pay as needed. Maintain accurate payroll records and supporting documentation. Review new driver information to make sure employees are set up correctly in payroll and transportation systems. Work with Operations, Dispatch, Human Resources, and Accounting to resolve missing or incorrect payroll information. Maintain confidentiality of payroll, compensation, employee, and company information. Assist with payroll reports, reconciliations, audits, and other payroll-related projects. Provide backup payroll support and perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Human Resources.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous payroll experience required; driver or transportation payroll experience preferred. Experience using ADP and TMW required. Transportation, trucking, freight, or logistics experience preferred. Good attention to detail and ability to work accurately with payroll information. Ability to stay organized, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work with confidential employee and payroll information.

EXPERIENCE

Previous payroll processing experience. Hands-on experience using ADP and TMW. Experience reviewing payroll information and making corrections or adjustments. Experience working with driver pay, trip, load, mileage, or similar transportation information is preferred.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required. Experience using ADP and TMW is required. Must be comfortable reviewing, sorting, and comparing payroll information and learning new systems as needed.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Must be dependable, accurate, organized, and able to work well with others. Must maintain confidentiality and complete payroll responsibilities within required deadlines.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position works primarily in an office environment and regularly interacts with drivers, Human Resources, Operations, Dispatch, and Accounting. The employee may occasionally enter an active warehouse or transportation area. At Carter
