This role is ideal for someone who is confident handling end-to-end payroll activities, navigating multi-state requirements, and improving consistency across payroll processes. The successful candidate will bring strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and practical experience using Paylocity in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities:
Process complete payroll cycles for multiple companies while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable policies and regulations. Administer payroll for employees working in more than one state, applying correct tax withholdings, deductions, and reporting requirements. Review payroll data for completeness and resolve discrepancies related to hours, earnings, benefits, garnishments, and other adjustments before final submission. Maintain payroll records and supporting documentation in an organized manner to support audits, reporting needs, and internal controls. Use Paylocity to support standardized payroll practices across the organization and help drive consistent system usage where appropriate. Partner with internal stakeholders to answer payroll-related questions and provide clear guidance on pay calculations, deductions, and payroll timelines. Prepare payroll reports and summaries for leadership, finance, and other business partners as needed. Monitor payroll activities to identify opportunities for process improvement while preserving accuracy and confidentiality. Proven experience managing full-cycle payroll from data review through final processing and post-payroll reconciliation. Hands-on background administering payroll for organizations with approximately 101 to 500 employees. Working knowledge of multi-state payroll regulations, tax requirements, and related compliance obligations. Experience processing payroll for more than one company or business entity is strongly preferred. Proficiency with Paylocity and the ability to use the platform effectively in day-to-day payroll administration. Strong numerical accuracy, problem-solving ability, and attention to confidential information. Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with employees, managers, and internal departments.
