The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees, adhering to company policies, federal, state, and local regulations. This role plays a critical part in maintaining payroll data integrity, addressing employee payroll inquiries, and ensuring compliance with tax laws and other payroll-related requirements.
Responsibilities Payroll Specialist Responsibilities:
Responsible for preparation of payroll, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies, union bargaining agreements and federal, state, and local regulations. Prepare and review payroll reports, including earnings, deductions, taxes, and other payroll-related items, ensuring they are accurate and ready for management review. Resolve payroll issues, providing timely solutions to employee inquiries and collaborating with HR, Finance, and other departments as needed. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll and employee information, ensuring that all payroll data is securely managed and protected. Other duties as assigned, which may include special projects or tasks outside of the outlined responsibilities as needed by the team or organization.
Payroll Specialist Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources or related field, preferred, or commensurate experience in Payroll and/or Human Resources. Payroll certification, such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP), is highly preferred. 1-2 years of payroll experience Prior experience with Kronos, Asure or Dayforce a plus. Attention to

Ability to ensure accuracy in payroll processing, reviewing complex data to identify and resolve errors.
Strong Analytical Skills:
Proficient in analyzing payroll data and producing meaningful reports for leadership, highlighting trends and discrepancies.
Problem-Solving:
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve payroll-related issues efficiently and effectively, addressing employee concerns and complex payroll inquiries.
Communication Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise effectively with employees, management, and external vendors.
Time Management:
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet payroll deadlines, even under pressure, while maintaining accuracy.
Confidentiality and Integrity:
Ability to handle sensitive payroll and personal employee data with discretion and in accordance with privacy laws.
Team Collaboration:
