Job Description

We're seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to manage and support end-to-end payroll operations in a fast-paced, professional environment. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working with Microsoft 365 tools in a collaborative setting. Key Responsibilities Process full-cycle payroll on a regular cadence, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established schedules Maintain and audit employee payroll records, including earnings, deductions, taxes, and garnishments Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee payroll-related inquiries Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour regulations Partner with HR and Finance teams to support payroll-related reporting and reconciliations Prepare payroll-related reports and documentation for internal stakeholders Assist with audits and support continuous improvement of payroll processes Maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll and employee information Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred 3+ years of payroll processing experience in a professional environment Strong working knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance requirements Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Excel, Outlook, and Teams High attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan
