POSITION SUMMARY
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Coordinator to support accurate and timely payroll processing for over 1,000 employees across multiple states and entities. Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager as part of the HR team, this role will assist with payroll administration, timecard management, reporting, employee support, and payroll compliance efforts within a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This opportunity is ideal for someone with prior payroll experience who is looking to continue building their career within a stable organization while gaining exposure to multi-state payroll operations, process improvement initiatives, and high-volume payroll processing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Support multi-state, multi-entity payroll processing in ADP Workforce Now Review, update, and validate employee timecards, PTO, and pay adjustments prior to payroll deadlines Monitor payroll exception reports and follow up with managers and timekeepers regarding missing punches, approvals, and discrepancies Generate payroll reports, audit reports, and variance reports; assist with reconciliations and payroll record maintenance Enter approved payroll changes and ensure proper coding in accordance with company policies and procedures Respond to employee payroll-related questions while providing professional and confidential customer support Maintain payroll documentation, records, and checklists to support compliance, internal controls, and audit readiness Assist with off-cycle payrolls, bonus payments, and special payroll runs as needed Support payroll audits by gathering documentation and responding to routine requests Assist with payroll process improvements, workflow documentation, and training support for managers and timekeepers Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company payroll policies and procedures Perform additional payroll and administrative duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
1+ year of payroll experience required Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now required Associate's degree required Experience supporting multi-state and/or multi-entity payroll environments preferred Strong Excel skills including filters, sorting, and basic formulas Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information professionally Knowledge of payroll compliance, wage and hour concepts, and payroll best practices preferred Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
