5x week on-site in Waltham Responsibilities Manage end-to-end payroll processing using systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, UltiPro, Kronos, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, and other payroll platforms. Ensure accurate data entry for employee hours, wages, deductions, and benefits while maintaining strict confidentiality of sensitive information. Reconcile payroll accounts regularly through general ledger accounting and account reconciliation procedures. Stay current on employment and labor law regulations to guarantee payroll compliance across all jurisdictions. Prepare and review journal entries related to payroll expenses, taxes, and accruals for accuracy and completeness. Collaborate with HRIS teams to maintain up-to-date employee records within HR systems and time & attendance systems. Conduct analysis of payroll data for discrepancies or errors, resolving issues promptly to ensure timely payments. Qualifications Proven experience with payroll management in a corporate accounting environment, including familiarity with payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, Kronos, or UltiPro. Strong understanding of employment law, tax law, labor law compliance, and governmental accounting standards. Proficiency in spreadsheets, accounting software (QuickBooks or similar), and financial analysis tools. Knowledge of payroll tax regulations and payroll processing procedures. Experience handling confidential information with integrity and discretion. Ability to perform detailed data entry using 10-key typing skills and double-entry bookkeeping techniques. Excellent analysis skills with a focus on account reconciliation, journal entries, debits & credits, and general ledger reconciliation.
