Retirement Administrator Overview
- The Retirement Administrator plays a critical role in managing retirement programs, ensuring compliance, and maintaining data accuracy within the HR organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional service and support for retirement plan administration and participant inquiries.
- Engage in detailed quantitative analysis and reconciliation processes to ensure data integrity and compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Coordinate participant education sessions and maintain system configurations aligned with recordkeeper requirements.
- Contribute to audit preparation and compliance testing, ensuring accuracy and timely responses throughout the audit lifecycle.
- Work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment that values operational excellence and strategic problem-solving.
- Leverage advanced spreadsheet skills to perform data reconciliations and financial calculations related to retirement plans.

- Prepare and format compliance testing data, performing iterative data scrubbing to meet recordkeeper specifications.
- Review and audit annual Match True-up calculations for accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct data preparation and reporting for external retirement plan audits, addressing discrepancies as needed.
- plan rules to data, finalize annual company contribution calculations, and perform payroll transaction reviews.
- Perform routine data reconciliations between HRIS and recordkeeper systems to ensure alignment and accuracy.
- Serve as the primary contact for participant inquiries, providing exceptional service and support.
- Audit and maintain retirement plan data quality and system configurations to meet recordkeeper requirements.
- Coordinate participant education sessions across regional offices and job sites in partnership with recordkeepers. Retirement Administrator Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, mathematics, business analytics, or a related discipline is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of quantitative or analytical experience in finance, accounting, or benefits administration.
- Proficiency in data reconciliation, mathematical problem-solving, and advanced spreadsheet skills (Excel/Google Sheets).
- Direct experience with 401(k) or defined contribution plan administration and familiarity with
ERISA/IRS
guidelines preferred.- Experience with HRIS and payroll platforms, such as Workday or EC Payroll, is highly desirable.
- Professional certifications such as CEBS, QKA, CPSP, SHRM-CP/SCP, or S/PHR are preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to communicate effectively across organizational levels.
- Ability to manage competing deadlines and handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
