Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounting/Payroll Coordinator to join our finance team. The Accounting/Payroll Coordinator is responsible for supporting the organization's financial operations by ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll, maintaining financial records, and assisting with accounting functions. This role serves as a key point of coordination between human resources, finance, and employees to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
Qualifications:
BS/BA Accounting or equivalent work experience. A working to an advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, especially Excel. Strong organization, problem solving and strong numeracy and analytical skills. Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to function well in a team-oriented environment. Able to interact with and support other departments and other offices. Experience with property management/accounting systems such as Yardi ( strongly preferred ), RealPage, MRI, or similar. Regular attendance onsite is an essential function of the job.
Duties:
Process and administer biweekly payroll, including wages, deductions, taxes, and benefits, including new hires, terminations, and changes (benefit deductions, etc.) Prepare payroll reports and support workman's comp audits, including internal and external reviews Collaborate with CFO on HR matters, including annual health insurance renewals (medical, dental life, etc.), 401K contributions, PTO tracking, annual employee evaluation processes and record keeping to ensure accurate employee data Review and validate employee allocations to ensure payroll expenses are charged to the appropriate cost centers
Tax and Audit Support:
Assist in the preparation of schedules and documentation for tax filings, depreciation calculations and audits. Work with external auditors and tax consultants as needed. Prepare annual personal property returns for MD. Assist in the annual budgeting process, including salary projections, benefit calculations, and labor distribution planning Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and employee information Assist with invoice preparation, billing support, and documentation for third party construction/management services. Provide support for the General Ledger, Financial reporting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Administrator functions of Yardi software, including basic IT trouble shooting.
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
