Full Job Description Accounting & Payroll Coordinator Towson, Maryland Salary:
Up to $85,000 Based on Experience Fully Onsite | Monday-Friday Are you an experienced accounting professional with payroll expertise and a background in property management or real estate? A highly respected and stable real estate organization is seeking an Accounting & Payroll Coordinator to join its team in the Towson area. This is a rare opportunity to step into a well-established role and receive extensive training from a long-tenured employee before retirement. You'll work directly with executive leadership and gain exposure to accounting, payroll, HR, benefits administration, and business operations within a collaborative, family-oriented environment. Why This Opportunity Stands Out Extremely stable organization with very low turnover Direct exposure to the CFO/COO and executive leadership Comprehensive training and succession planning Opportunity for long-term growth and advancement Broad, hands-on role with visibility across multiple business functions Generally a 40-hour workweek with minimal overtime Private office environment Strong benefits package including generous health insurance contributions and 401(k) match Key Responsibilities Payroll Administration (Primary Focus) Process payroll for approximately 50 employees Manage payroll through a third-party payroll provider Allocate labor costs across multiple entities and properties Maintain strict confidentiality regarding employee information Generate payroll-related reports and analyses Support payroll process improvements and system administration activities Utilize Yardi and advanced Excel reporting tools HR & Benefits Support Partner directly with the CFO on benefits administration Assist with healthcare renewals and benefits coordination Support 401(k) administration Maintain employee records and documentation Assist with employee communications and compliance-related matters Accounting Support Prepare year-end tax workpapers for multiple entities Assist with budgeting and reporting activities Perform account reconciliations and analyses Support transaction coding and general ledger activities Assist with multi-entity accounting processes Provide various accounting and operational support as needed Qualifications Required Experience with Yardi Voyager (strongly preferred requirement) Payroll processing experience Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Real estate, property management, or multi-entity accounting experience Strong attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality Ability to work onsite five days per week Team-oriented mindset and willingness to wear multiple hats Preferred HR or benefits administration experience Accounting degree or equivalent practical experience Experience supporting multiple entities or business units Compensation & Benefits Salary range is $72,000 - $85,000 , based on experience Strong employer-paid health insurance contribution 401(k) Safe Harbor plan with immediate eligibility 4% company match Generous PTO package Company-sponsored events, lunches, and employee appreciation activities Outstanding work-life balance and long-term career stability If you're looking for a stable, growth-oriented opportunity where your payroll, accounting, and administrative expertise can make a meaningful impact, we'd love to hear from you. #LI-BK1 #
