Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll/HR/Accounting Assistant to join our team. In this vital role, you will support payroll processing, conduct Human Resource Administrative functions, and assist with accounting operations to ensure smooth and compliant business workflows. Your energetic approach and keen attention to detail will help maintain accurate financial records, uphold labor law compliance, and facilitate effective benefits administration. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills across multiple disciplines within a collaborative environment. Responsibilities Assist in payroll management using systems such as Isolve, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing in accordance with tax law and labor regulations Support HR functions including benefits administration, employee data entry, and maintain employee records Handle confidential information with integrity while managing compliance documentation, such as background checks Timely filing of incident/accident reports with workers compensation Assist in month-end and year-end benefit processes, including sign-up, termination and billing reconciliations. Maintain Company Handbook Assist with accounting procedures as needed, including account reconciliation and analysis of financial data Strong proficiency in spreadsheets, data entry, and analysis skills for accurate record keeping Basic understanding of accounts payable/receivable Assist with with all audits, surveys, IFTA reporting, wage statistics, 1099's etc Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; Analytical thinking and a natural curiosity to understand the "why" behind the numbers Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment with clear, direct written and verbal communication Have a positive attitude and a sense of humour
