Job Description

Company Overview Located in Lansing, Michigan, AAI Lansing is a trusted leader in hazardous materials abatement and demolition services across Michigan and the upper Midwest. We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to manage payroll for a busy construction company. This person will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time while ensuring compliance with certified payroll, prevailing wage, union, and tax requirements. The role works closely with field employees, project managers, HR, and Accounting. [Payroll Sp...escription | Word] What You'll Do Process payroll from start to finish Review and audit employee timecards, pay rates, job codes, and overtime Prepare and submit certified payroll reports Ensure compliance with prevailing wage requirements and wage classifications Maintain payroll records and payroll-related documentation Assist with payroll reconciliations and reporting Answer employee payroll questions and resolve payroll issues What We're Looking For Minimum 3 years of payroll experience Strong construction payroll experience required Hands-on experience with certified payroll and prevailing wage compliance required Knowledge of Davis-Bacon and related prevailing wage regulations preferred Experience with multiple pay rates, job classifications, and overtime calculations Experience with Journey payroll software preferred Experience with FieldFlo timekeeping software preferred Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and payroll systems Why Join Us?
