Human Resources Central Power Systems & Services is a privately held company with deep roots going back to 1954. With an internal Mission statement of fostering a strong family-oriented culture built on a high moral and ethical code that we live by every single day. We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to help support that mission. Are you the person who gets excited about clean, accurate payroll runs? Do you know your way around a Human Capital Management (HCM) system inside and out and enjoy being the go-to resource when someone has a question about their paycheck? We want to talk to you. Responsibilities Own HCM site administration and lead training so employees and managers understand how to use the system
Run bi-weekly payroll from start to finish, including deductions, taxes, garnishments, direct deposits, and support orders
Process all required payroll reports and checks with speed and accuracy
Bring multi-state payroll experience to the table (a big plus if you have it)
Dig into timecards, catch inconsistencies before they become problems, and work directly with supervisors to fix issues fast
Review hourly non-exempt timecards in the technician time keeping system to make sure everything exports cleanly into payroll
Spot patterns in recurring timecard issues and help managers get the training they need to avoid repeated mistakes
Be the first point of contact for employees with questions about deductions, overtime, and pay
Build new hire files and keep personnel files current with weekly updates
Maintain a clean, organized work environment
Handle sensitive information with the highest level of discretion and confidentiality
Assist with payroll audits, year-end activities, W-2 processing, and reporting
Help develop scalable payroll procedures that support continued company growth
Perform other duties as assigned

Solid payroll and HR background; HCM system experience preferred

High school diploma or equivalent
