Full Job Description Job Title:
Payroll Specialist Job Description We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to manage payroll contributions related to employee benefits, including health coverage, pension, and 401(k) plans. This role requires performing detailed data entry, reconciliation, and accuracy checks, alongside reviewing established processes to determine member eligibility for health plan coverage on a monthly basis. Responsibilities Post payroll contributions related to employee benefits, including health coverage, pension, and 401(k) plans. Perform detailed data entry, reconciliation, and accuracy checks. Review and follow established processes to determine member eligibility for health plan coverage on a monthly basis. Support accident claim subrogation by coordinating paperwork, mailing and tracking packets, and reviewing documents for completeness. Post premium payments from members as needed with a high level of attention to detail. Assist with project-based work involving data entry, research, and Excel. Complete general clerical tasks such as filing and document organization as needed. Essential Skills Research Data entry Clerical tasks Order entry Proficient in Microsoft Excel Computer skills Attention to detail Excel data entry Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma required; associate's degree preferred in Business, Accounting, or related field. Two years of relevant experience preferred. Prior experience with data entry, light accounting functions, and general office tasks. Work Environment The work environment is office-based, requiring strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel. The role involves a combination of routine clerical tasks and dynamic project-based work. The dress code is business casual. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Fargo, ND. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
