Job Description

$60,000+ a year Thompson Associates is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to manage and process weekly payroll for all employees. In this key role, you will ensure precise and timely payroll execution, maintain confidential employee records, and serve as a primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries. Payroll experience is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect, review, and summarize timekeeping data using automated systems Maintain employee payroll records, processing updates for pay rates, tax withholdings, deductions, department allocations, and employment status changes Accurately process involuntary deductions, including wage garnishments and tax levies Review and verify new hire data within the payroll system (ADP experience preferred) Support payroll-related vendor payments and perform routine account reconciliations Assist with benefits enrollment and provide administrative support for employee benefit programs Prepare employment verifications and respond promptly to external payroll inquiries Investigate and resolve timekeeping discrepancies through detailed data analysis and proactive communication Maintain strict confidentiality and safeguard sensitive personal and financial data Communicate payroll and benefits updates clearly and effectively to staff Establish and maintain well-organized, comprehensive payroll files for all personnel

Payroll and dealership software, including
ADP and CDK Microsoft Excel and Word Google Workspace Qualifications & Skills:
Proven track record in payroll administration Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and Google Workspace Understanding of general ledger (GL) accounting and reconciliation procedures High level of data entry speed and accuracy Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proven ability to handle sensitive information with complete discretion Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities Self-motivated team player capable of working both independently and collaboratively Unwavering commitment to professionalism and confidentiality Benefits Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401(k) plan with matching

$26.00 - $31.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 45.0 per week
