Job Description
Company Overview Radiation Safety & Control Services (RSCS) is a dedicated provider of radiation safety solutions, specializing in decommissioning, health physics consulting, and instrument services for nuclear, medical, industrial, and government facilities. Established in 1989, our team includes highly qualified professionals committed to safety and excellence in radiological services.
Position Description :
The payroll specialist works with payroll, human resources and operations team members to process payrolls within assigned schedules. The primary responsibility is to process payroll accurately and provide excellent customer service to our employees. This position requires an extremely detail-orientated person with significant knowledge of payroll administration, including state and federal regulations.Essential Functions :
Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Enter, maintain, and/or process information in the payroll system for 500-800 employees, depending on the season. Ensure proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, and other deductions. Audit payroll information for accuracy. Research and resolve employee pay related issues. Reconcile payroll to the general ledger and monthly bank statements. Compile internal management reports from payroll and accounting systems. Participate in problem solving and special projects with the Accounting Department. Perform other duties as assigned.Competencies :
Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables Ability to identify and implement automation opportunities. Solid data manipulation and visualization skills. Ability to support internal and external audits with strong knowledge of internal controls and audit readiness. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment. Time management Experience with systems like Group Dynamics or Workday preferredPhysical Demands :
The employee is required to spend prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer; occasionally climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Exposure to noise in an open office environment.Required Education, Experience, Certification and Licenses :
High school diploma or equivalent required. 2-4+ years of relevant payroll experience. Must pass background and credit check.Schedule, Employee Type and Salary:
