Junior Payroll Analyst
- Healthcare Staffing & Technology Company
Newark, NJ Salary:
$60,000- $65,000 annually This is an in-office position, Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and technology-driven Junior Payroll Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly organized, and enjoys solving problems. This role requires the ability to efficiently manage and prioritize requests through our Zendesk ticketing system, reconcile payroll-related accounts with a high degree of accuracy, and leverage AI-powered tools to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency. Success in this position requires strong critical thinking skills, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to delivering exceptional internal customer service while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality. Responsibilities- Responsible for closing all payroll Zendesk tickets and make any payroll adjustments as needed
- Manage an overseas team handling payroll correspondence (UI claims, employment verifications, etc.)
- Perform daily bank Payroll Bank reconciliations
- Quarterly payroll tax reconciliations and year-end tax reporting (W-2, 1099, 1095, etc.)
- Research and resolve any Federal, State or Local Tax notice
- Occasionally, work with the Account Management team to explain nurse staff questions/issues Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience
- 1-2 years payroll or accounting experience preferred
- Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
- Clear written communication; able to manage a daily queue against hard payroll deadlines
- Ability to leverage AI with their workflow
Pay:
$60,000.00- $65,000.
