Full Job Description Job Description:
Responsibilities for Payroll Specialist Administer weekly payroll process and manage integrity of payroll data Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations and filing payroll tax returns Proper calculation and reporting of tax liabilites on weekly basis Address and resolve employee complaints relating to payroll Responsible in the preparation of W2's annually and the annual reconciliation per state requirements Report to department head regarding daily activities and issues Assist in the annual company audit

Qualifications:
3-5 years experince as a payroll specialist Associate degree in Accounting/payroll certification and/or equivalent experience. Proven experience in a payroll position in a fast-paced environment required Strong knowledge of tax and wage laws Good understanding of the common fiscal procedures Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office applications Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills Able to work effectively with minimal supervision Strong math skills with an ability to spot numerical errors Reliable & trustworthy with attention to details and confidentiality Knowledge of TMW software is a plus Microsoft dynamics Great Plains preferred
