Full Job Description Position Overview:
Our firm is seeking a talented and hardworking Bookkeeper with strong experience in QuickBooks (Desktop and Online). This role provides financial support to a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple industries. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing monthly accounting activities, performing reconciliations, and analyzing financial statements. A solid foundation in accounting principles is essential, including experience with adjusting journal entries, accruals, tax adjustments, and payroll-related entries.Key Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of general ledger accounting Create companies and maintain accurate charts of accounts Record all bank and credit card transactions Post journal entries and maintain memorized transaction lists Perform bank account reviews and reconciliations Prepare monthly financial statements Execute month-end and year-end close processes Process payroll within QuickBooks Prepare and file payroll tax returns (941, 940, SUI, W-2, W-3) Review payroll tax payments and filings for accuracy Prepare sales and use tax returns Maintain proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online Ensure confidentiality and security of all financial records Perform additional duties as assigned by firm managementQualifications & Requirements:
Associate degree in accounting preferred, or equivalent experience Minimum of 2 years of hands-on QuickBooks experience (required) Experience in a CPA firm or public accounting environment is a plus Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals High level of accuracy and attention to detail Excellent organizational, follow-up, and time management skills Professional demeanor and communication skills Willingness to learn and grow within public accounting, including exposure to tax preparation, business consulting, and financial statement analysisPay:
$22.00 - $26.00 per hourBenefits:
