In this vital role, you will oversee the accurate processing of payroll for our organization, ensuring timely and compliant salary disbursements. Your expertise in payroll management systems, accounting software, and human resources tools will drive efficiency and precision in our payroll operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our company's financial integrity while supporting our employees' benefits and compensation needs. •Scheduled hours are currently 7am to 12pm, regular hours are 7am to 4pm once our regular hours of operations resume.•Duties Quickbooks Online Invoicing (Payables and Receivables) Perform data entry and account reconciliation tasks related to payroll, benefits administration, and tax filings. Maintain detailed records of payroll transactions, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliations aligned with corporate accounting standards. Collaborate with HRIS (Human Resources Information System) platforms to update employee information and manage benefits data. Process accounts payable and receivable related to payroll expenses and vendor payments using accounting software like QuickBooks or similar tools. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations by preparing reports and submitting required documentation accurately. Conduct analysis of payroll data to identify discrepancies or errors, resolving issues promptly through double entry bookkeeping and technical accounting practices. Support non-profit or governmental accounting requirements when applicable, including account reconciliation and financial reporting. Assist with benefits administration tasks such as enrollment updates, leave management, and employee inquiries related to payroll benefits. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information while adhering to legal standards for data security. Qualifications Proven experience managing payroll processes using systems such as Quickbooks Online Strong knowledge of payroll management principles combined with accounting software proficiency including QuickBooks or similar platforms. Familiarity with Payroll Taxes (941's, Unemployment Taxes, City, School, and State) Understanding of corporate accounting practices including general ledger accounting, journal entries, debits & credits, and account reconciliation. Knowledge of tax regulations related to payroll taxes and reporting requirements. Ability to perform detailed analysis skills for data accuracy and issue resolution. Experience with governmental or non-profit accounting is a plus. Excellent data entry skills with 10 key typing proficiency; strong attention to detail in bookkeeping practices such as double entry bookkeeping. Effective communication skills to collaborate across departments including finance and human resources.
