Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team! In this vital role, you will oversee the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely compensation for employees across various TTA Clients. Your expertise in payroll management systems and accounting software will help streamline operations, maintain compliance, and support our client's financial health. Duties Manage the complete payroll cycle using Paychex, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on schedule Process payroll data entry with precision, including hours worked, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and benefits administration Reconcile payroll accounts regularly through general ledger reconciliation and account analysis to ensure data integrity Prepare and review journal entries related to payroll transactions, debits & credits, and tax filings Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations by staying current on tax experience and governmental accounting standards Collaborate with HRIS systems like PeopleSoft or Ceridian to update employee records and manage benefits administration processes Conduct detailed account reconciliation and analysis to identify discrepancies or errors in payroll or financial data Requirements Proven experience with payroll management software such as Workday, Kronos, ADP, or similar platforms Strong knowledge of accounting principles including double entry bookkeeping, general ledger accounting, and financial concepts Familiarity with accounting software like QuickBooks or other financial software tools used in payroll processing Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy (10 key typing proficiency) and attention to detail Understanding of human resources processes related to benefits administration and employee data management Ability to perform complex account reconciliation tasks involving accounts payable/receivable and journal entries Knowledge of non-profit or governmental accounting standards is a plus but not required Strong analysis skills to interpret financial data and ensure compliance with applicable regulations Join us as a Payroll Specialist where your expertise will directly impact our organization's efficiency!
