$50,000 – $75,000 annually Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to support payroll operations during a period of stabilization and systems transition. This role is primarily project-based and will focus on payroll cleanup, reconciliations, and year-end support following several years of organizational turnover. The Payroll Specialist will play a key role in preparing payroll and benefits data for a future HRIS implementation. Key Responsibilities Support accurate and timely payroll processing across recurring pay cycles Perform payroll reconciliations and resolve historical discrepancies Assist with payroll reporting, audits, and compliance requirements Respond to employee payroll inquiries with professionalism and discretion Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure payroll accuracy and deadline adherence Support cleanup and documentation of payroll and benefits data Partner with HR and Finance to prepare for HRIS and benefits system migration Project Scope Payroll processing coverage Payroll and reconciliation cleanup Year-end payroll support Payroll and benefits readiness for HRIS implementation Qualifications Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar payroll-focused role Hands-on experience with payroll systems and payroll reporting Strong understanding of payroll compliance and best practices Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently in a high-change environment Trusted track record of accuracy, discretion, and reliability Why This Role Matters This role is critical to restoring payroll stability and setting the foundation for a successful HRIS and benefits transition after a period of significant organizational change.
