Upper Arlington, OH 43221 Pay - $50k-$60k Payroll Specialist We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team in Upper Arlington, Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting and payroll professional who enjoys working with numbers, ensuring accuracy, and providing exceptional support to employees and management. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing payroll, maintaining employee records, ensuring compliance with payroll regulations, and assisting with payroll reporting. The ideal candidate is highly organized, dependable, and able to manage confidential information with professionalism. Responsibilities Process weekly, biweekly, or semi-monthly payroll accurately and on time Review and verify employee timekeeping records Maintain payroll records and employee information Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations Respond to employee payroll questions and resolve discrepancies Prepare payroll-related reports and reconciliations Assist with year-end processing, including W-2 preparation Coordinate with HR and Accounting departments on payroll matters Support audits and provide payroll documentation as needed Qualifications 2+ years of payroll processing experience Knowledge of payroll laws, tax withholdings, and compliance requirements Experience with payroll software such as ADP, Paychex, UKG, Workday, or similar systems Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities Ability to maintain confidentiality and meet deadlines Preferred Qualifications CPP certification is a plus but not required Experience processing multi-state payroll preferred Background in accounting, HR, or finance preferred What We Offer Competitive compensation Comprehensive benefits package Paid time off and company holidays Stable and growing organization Collaborative team environment Career growth opportunities This Payroll Specialist position offers the opportunity to play a critical role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.
