Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to manage multi-state payroll for 1,000 employees. This position requires in-depth knowledge of payroll processing, tax compliance, and labor laws across multiple states. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Process full-cycle payroll for 1,000 employees across multiple states, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Maintain payroll records, including employee earnings, deductions, taxes, and benefits. Stay up to date with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and ensure compliance. Manage payroll tax filings, garnishments, and other payroll-related deductions. Assist with audits and reports related to payroll, taxes, and benefits. Address employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and tax-related matters. Work closely with HR, Finance, and Accounting teams to ensure smooth payroll operations. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications & Skills:
3+ years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a multi-state environment. Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements. Experience working with payroll software (ADP, Workday, or similar preferred). High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Strong communication skills with the ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or similar certification is a plus. Experience processing payroll for 1,000+ employees. Strong Excel skills for payroll reporting and data analysis. EB-1537398904
