This position reviews timekeeping records, shift differentials, incentive earnings, attendance records, and payroll deductions to ensure employees are paid correctly and in compliance with company policies and applicable wage and hour regulations. The Payroll Coordinator serves as a primary resource for employee payroll inquiries and works closely with supervisors, Human Resources, and Accounting to maintain payroll accuracy and integrity. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Process bi-weekly payroll for hourly production employees. Review and audit employee timecards for accuracy and completeness. Validate regular hours, overtime, shift premiums, incentive pay, attendance bonuses, and other earnings. Investigate and resolve timekeeping discrepancies with supervisors and employees. Enter payroll adjustments, pay rate changes, deductions, and other payroll transactions. Maintain accurate payroll records and supporting documentation. Respond to employee questions regarding pay, overtime, deductions, taxes, and paid time off balances. Reconcile payroll reports and assist with payroll audits. Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and distribution. Prepare payroll and labor reports for management and operational departments. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour requirements. Maintain strict confidentiality of employee payroll and personnel information. Support continuous improvement efforts related to payroll processes and systems. Assist with payroll-related data requests, reporting, and special projects as assigned. Qualifications Associate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Experience processing payroll for hourly employees, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Experience with payroll, HRIS, and timekeeping systems. Knowledge of overtime calculations, shift differentials, incentive compensation programs, and applicable wage and hour regulations. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage recurring deadlines. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive information. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Occasional travel between company facilities may be required. Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer. Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and electronically. Ability to occasionally lift and carry files or office materials weighing up to 20 pounds. This position provides an opportunity to develop payroll expertise while supporting the accurate and timely payment of hourly production employees across the organization.
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
