Our clients rely on us to deliver accurate, timely payroll processing and exceptional customer service. We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist who enjoys working with clients, solving problems, and helping businesses succeed. We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team and ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our organization. In this vital role, you will manage payroll operations, maintain compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, and safeguard sensitive employee information. Your expertise in payroll systems, and accounting software, will drive efficiency and accuracy across payroll functions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a collaborative environment where precision and integrity are paramount. Duties Process payroll using systems such as ADP and other supported payroll platforms Ensure compliance with employment laws, tax regulations, and labor standards by staying current on relevant legislation Reconcile payroll data with accounting records using spreadsheets and accounting software like QuickBooks and general ledger systems Manage employee time & attendance data through integrated time tracking systems to guarantee accurate compensation Prepare and review journal entries related to payroll transactions for accuracy in the financial system Handle confidential employee information with the utmost discretion while maintaining data entry accuracy Collaborate with HR and finance teams to resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries effectively Skills Extensive experience with payroll systems such as ADP or similar platforms Strong understanding of employment & labor law, payroll tax regulations, and governmental accounting standards Proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel), accounting software (QuickBooks), and financial analysis tools Knowledge of time & attendance management solutions Ability to perform account reconciliation, double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, debits & credits accurately Familiarity with non-profit or governmental accounting practices is a plus Excellent analysis skills with attention to detail for data entry, audit processes, and financial reporting Join us as a Payroll Specialist to play a key role in maintaining our organization's financial integrity while supporting our team's success. Pay:
$22.00 - $26.00 per hour Expected hours: 25.0 - 40.0 per week
