Job Description

Payroll Clerk Job description: About us: Right Traffic, LLC. is a leading company in the Traffic Control industry, experiencing rapid growth across North America. As the fastest-growing national traffic control company, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional services to our clients. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Clerk to join our team and assist in managing all aspects of our payroll operations. In this role, you will process bi-weekly payroll for a large and diverse employee base, ensuring accuracy in all employee information, including new hires, terminations, and salary changes. You will also administer payroll-related benefits, respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues, and assist in resolving discrepancies. Additionally, you will prepare and file year-end payroll tax returns while staying informed about local payroll laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of payroll administration experience, knowledge of payroll laws, and payroll software such as Payworks. Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently are essential, along with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Responsibilities:
Process bi-weekly payroll for a large employee base Ensure accuracy of employee information, including new hires, terminations, and salary changes Administer various payroll-related employee benefits, such as 401K and health insurance Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and assist with resolving payroll discrepancies Prepare and file year-end payroll tax returns Stay current with local payroll laws and regulations
Qualifications:
1+ years of experience in payroll administration Knowledge of payroll regulations and laws Proficient in payroll software, such as Paychex or ADP Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Right Traffic is an Equal Employment Opportunities Employer encouraging diversity in the workplace.
