Full-Time Position Summary The LECOM Institute for Successful Living (LISL) is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Payroll Clerk to join our administrative team in Erie, PA. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with applicable regulations. Key Responsibilities Process bi-weekly payroll for employees accurately and on schedule Maintain payroll records, including earnings, deductions, and tax withholdings Verify timekeeping records and resolve discrepancies Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations Assist with payroll-related reporting, audits, and year-end processes (e.g., W-2s) Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, benefits deductions, and payroll issues Maintain confidentiality of employee records and payroll data Collaborate with HR and Finance teams on employee data updates and benefits administration Qualifications High school diploma required; associate degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred 1-3 years of payroll or accounting experience preferred Familiarity with payroll systems and timekeeping software Basic understanding of payroll laws, taxes, and compliance requirements Strong attention to detail and accuracy Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer skills Ability to manage deadlines and handle sensitive information with discretion Preferred Skills Experience in healthcare, education, or nonprofit settings Knowledge of multi-state payroll processing Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and customer service abilitiesBENEFITS
